Winemaker Notes:
"Our 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon from a vineyard located on the southern end of the Mayacamas Mountains called DesNudos. The property has a very interesting history, it seems that back in the 1940’s the ranch was called Sun-o-ma and was a nudist colony. The first time I went to see the vineyard I noticed all these small very primitive cabins which the guest could rent when they visited. I found a article in the Owosso Argus-Press from July 1944 referring to the fact that not only were these illegal guest cottages but that people were fined because at the time there were very specific gasoline rations. You see visiting a nudist colony was not considered a priority during the war. This photo is from the steep terraces in the vineyard looking south towards San Francisco. Unfortunately, the wild fire last year destroyed the remaining cabins. I'm very proud of this wine and share it with all of you. We only produced 150 cases and I just found out it was awarded a Gold Medal with 90 points at the recent San Francisco International Wine Competition."
