"2012 awarded us a new section within the famous Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard.  This glorious year spawned Myriad Cellars first reserve style wine.  Named Elysian, this wine is derived from the magical place Dr. George Belden Crane himself thought his soul would rest for eternity which he prominently put on his head stone in the St. Helena cemetery.  What a fitting name for a wine that will lift your senses and take you into a dimension of self-thought and reflection.

Dark purple to the core, aromas of blackberry compote, cassis, river rock, and anise envelop the senses and carry on into a mid palate that is prodigious, pure and omnipresent for minutes.  At first, this wine is seamless and giving - and next it is expressing its overall concentration, flaunting its heady tannins and length.  This is why we chose to barrel select this lot to represent the best Myriad Cellars can give from this vineyard in 2012."
