"The 2009 Solideo is an unusual blend of 85% Tempranillo (Tinto Fino), 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% of the white Albillo from very old vineyards, matured in American oak barrels for 20 months and a further four months in French barriques. The perfumed nose reveals flowers, ripe wild berries and something spicy, common across the Canónigos range, perhaps the combination of Cabernet with American wood that somehow makes them distinct and quite attractive. The late is very polished with fully-resolved tannins and a soft, silky texture. This is ready. 14,000 bottles produced."
