"This hearty, almost meaty, wine offers bold blackberry and light wood smoke flavors on a firm texture of tannins and good acidity. It has chewy, grippy mouth-feel and the concentrated fruit flavors to match that structure."  

Winemaker Notes: 

"This is a wonderful, drinkable, enjoyable Zinfandel. The dark purple color and the lightly spicy nose lead to a wonderful palate of flavors of anise and dark fruit. As the wine opens, flavors of chocolate and vanilla are present with a bouquet of sweet cherries and ripe plums. The finish is long and flavorful. This wine will only improve with age." 

Pairing Suggestions: "Enjoy this with red meats either roasted or on the BBQ. This is also a Zinfandel with a big enough range to cover most traditional Italian dishes, and some spicy Mexican dishes. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself needing a second bottle by the time your meal is ready!"
