"This is only the fifth vintage of La Dula, but it has already established itself among the best Garnachas in Rioja. Featuring what Sandra Bravo calls "white wine acidity", this hails from vineyards over 600 metres in Rivas de Tereso and combines aromas of violet and wild herbs with a palate of redcurrant, raspberry and subtle minerality. 2024-29."

"I loved the perfumed and varietal nose of the 2022 La Dula—pure Garnacha from high-altitude vineyards in the village of Rivas de Tereso. It's ripe without excess, with 14% alcohol, a low pH (3.39) and very good acidity despite the warm year. It's clean, transparent and precise. It feels young but has an approachable and juicy palate with very fine tannins. Elegant, nuanced and clean. 5,800 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2023 after it matured in foudres and amphorae for eight months."

"A bright red, with good focus. This is a bit firm today, showing taut, chalky tannins. Yet there's pleasing expression, too, with ripe, crushed raspberry, thyme and floral notes, plus white pepper and blood orange peel–infused acidity. With some short-term cellaring, this will shine. Best after 2027. 540 cases made, 150 cases imported."
