"A wine of mythic rarity, Dagueneau's Astéroide is made from a tiny plot of ungrafted and particularly temperamental vines. It’s one of the rarest, hard-to-find, painfully expensive French whites in existence.  Totalling only 18 rows of vines which require constant attention, the wine is only bottled in particularly successful vintages with a total production of only about 200 liters.  A true rarity. This wine is usually harvested very ripe. It is distinctive in its great aromatic intensity (citrus, smoky notes), power, very pure minerality, clean palate and crystalline body."
