Founded in 1986, deLorimier is a small, boutique winery located in the heart of Alexander Valley.  Alexander Valley is often referred to as "California's Bordeaux" and is a winemaker's dream location for producing world-class wines.  The property was acquired by Wilson Artisan Wine Groups in 2008.  When Ken and Diane Wilson discovered the property they knew it would be their Cabernet Sauvignon showcase.  deLorimier Winery focuses on single-vineyard designate Cabernets and has a long tradition of producing award-winning wines.  Cabernet Sauvignon is their focus and they produce small-lot wines that are the purest reflection of the grapes and the terroir.  deLorimier shows Alexander Valley wine at its best.  They have a limited production and the wines are mostly sold directly through the winery with very little going to the retail market.  With Diane Wilson and Antoine Favero as winemakers, deLorimier has received many accolades including several Best of Class Medals and numerous Double Golds.  People may remember the name from last year's Harvest Fair, where they took home several awards.  With hundreds of Gold Medals and numerous Best of Class honors, deLorimier wines get better and better with each vintage.  The 2016 deLorimier Sonoma County Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is richly layered, seamless, exquisitely balanced and refined.  It has notes of raspberries, blackberries, Oolong tea, milk chocolate and black cardamom.  This Cabernet is delicious with tremendous depth and complexity.  It has mouthwatering tannins and a long finish.  Enjoy!

Tasting Notes: 

Deep garnet-purple in color. Aromas of cedar, cocoa and blackberry jam on the palate.  There is a core of ripe black-raspberries, wild blackberries, and black currants. Additional notes of Oolong tea, black cardamom and milk chocolate add tremendous depth and complexity. The flavors follow suit and are richly layered, exquisitely balanced and refined. This deliciously seamless wine offers ripe, mouthwatering tannins and a lengthy finish. Enjoy now and over its decades long evolution.
